New Guards
Generations at Crossroads
Times have changed. Recent times have have seen the golden geneartion of tennis slowly fading in to the oblivion and theres probably more talent now than ever to show for but its a bitter sweet feeling seeing the olds calling time. i havent been a tennis enthusiast for a time u would say long but it can be felt and can only spare a thought for the people who have been linked to the game for years.
its nature of the sport yet u feel what u feel.
narratives have changed now, the march of time is here and the greatest of players have bid goodbye to the court . Feel like its become the norm now from the likes of Rafa and Murray both great tacticians . thiem, kerber, the showmen fognini although after tiring Carlos showed how the unpredictable nature of his game we will miss.
Sort of void it has all created. AO felt strange this year but the semis came to the rescue atleast for me but to be honest Jocko made it up.
The sun has set for now and surely the propspects are mouth watering Alcaraz and Sinner, are wasting no time and the court is their own personal orchestra it seems that will be for long now . to say the least this generation have a good depth but dont know if it will translate . Shelton, fils, zverev all good ones. lets see if the evolution of tennis as they like to say bring new colours.
feel like its 2010 for us but yeah the styles not a lot i know but feels good to see,
lets see what comes next and the show must go on.
